After a very busy week of work, with not a lot of sleep, today I feel awake and alive again. Last week I did a typography workshop. It started tuesdaymorning at nine, and at that time four different teachers from several european countires expained their pojects for the week. After their explainations it was up to the students to choose the project they ‘d like most.

The poject I choose was about creating typeface with 3d models. The first thing we had to do was to choose a material, for me it was “Macaroni” in polish “Makaron” Which is my present nickname given to me by the students. With this typeface that had to be created you had to write a word (a message) and place it somewhere in the space. I wanted this message to have something to do with my material and with the place that it would be placed in. As shown on the picture this message is “BOIL ME” “To boil” I choose as a metaphor for teaching, so what the message says is: Teach me, a message from me to the school, the teachers and its students.
The workshop was great and had very nice results, I meet a lot of nice people and even learned a lot! It was very heavy work this week, with days of waking up at 7 and coming back in the middle of the night. It was worth it.

In this week I also looked at some appartments. The first one was not that great, quite small and very dark during the day. The second one was amazingly great. Its a very big appartment, with a good big kitchen, a nice shower, great area and close to a cool bar. The third one I saw was not good, cause the two rooms for living were connected by a door. So one of the two persons always has to pass the other ones room to leave or cook or whatever. Not nice. This week I’ll look at some more houses and make a descision.

This weekend I was at a wedding of a good friend which I meet in portugal. She, Kinga, was marrying Norberto who is portugese. Somewhere quite far from the centre we celebrated all night long. Drinking wodka, eating a lot, dancing and being entertained by this man which walks around with a microphone and tries to be funny. This man on the party of a wedding is something typical polish and very funny for me. The polish people like always made me drink a lot of wodka and eat extremely much. A great day and evening that suddenly came instead of going to Sting.

Last thing is the concert I went to yesterday of Kid koala. I went to see him in a bar, close to my future house(hopefully), called hypnoza. Again a great performance by kiddy and very nice to see that also Katowice contains people with a nice taste of music.
